With over 50 majors and 10 minors to choose from, students have the freedom to design their own unique major-minor combination from a wide array of possibilities. This flexible approach empowers them to tailor their academic journey, aligning their interests with their career aspirations.
This is a secondary discipline or area of specialization chosen to pursue along with a major discipline to expand one’s knowledge beyond the major discipline.
Opting for a Minor Program offers a host of academic, professional, and personal benefits that complement a student’s major area of study and enrich their overall learning experience. A Minor allows students to explore a field they are passionate about — adding depth to their university journey, nurturing intellectual curiosity, and fostering a spirit of lifelong learning.
In today’s highly competitive job market, a Minor also serves as a mark of distinction, showcasing a student’s initiative, commitment, and eagerness to learn beyond the prescribed curriculum.
Students are strongly encouraged to consider declaring a Minor alongside their Major. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 18 credits in a program outside their primary field of specialization.
Currently, the University offers 10 Minor Programs in the following disciplines: Design, Sports, Sustainable Development, Indian Knowledge Systems, Performing Arts, Environmental Science, Economics, Social & Community Engagement, Entrepreneurship, and Psychology.
