  • In its continued pursuit of excellence in higher education, Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), proudly established the AIU–VGU Academic and Administrative Development Centre (AIU–VGU–AADC) in 2023. This Centre represents a significant milestone in VGU’s academic journey and reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation, leadership, and quality enhancement in both academic and administrative domains. AIU–VGU–AADC is one of only ten Centres in India instituted by AIU, with a focused mandate of capacity building and professional development. The Centre functions as a national-level hub for empowering university faculty members and administrative professionals to navigate the evolving landscape of higher education—particularly in the era of hybrid and blended learning.

The Centre has swiftly positioned itself as a catalyst for academic transformation. It designs and delivers a range of short-term advanced training programmes and faculty development programmes (FDPs), offered in both physical and virtual formats, catering to the continuous upskilling of key academic and administrative stakeholders.

The Centre’s programmes are thoughtfully designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted components of online teaching and learning, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate and thrive in digital and blended environments and on aligning pedagogical strategies with the most appropriate digital technologies, fostering a seamless and effective integration of teaching tools into academic practice. In support of strengthening the research ecosystem, the programmes offer rigorous training in advanced research methodologies and academic writing, enabling educators to contribute meaningfully to scholarly discourse. Equally important is the Centre’s focus on content creation, which includes designing and curating high-quality e-content and open educational resources (OER) that support inclusive and accessible learning. Innovation in instructional delivery is actively promoted, encouraging faculty to adopt creative, student-centred teaching models. Furthermore, the Centre serves as a key platform for facilitating the meaningful integration of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into mainstream higher education curricula. Recognizing the crucial role of administrative leadership, the Centre also prioritizes the enhancement of institutional efficiency through capacity-building programmes aimed at fostering sustainable and future-ready governance models. Through its initiatives, the Centre contributes meaningfully to the national goal of transforming Indian higher education into a more inclusive, technologically empowered, and globally competitive ecosystem
