Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of VGU was started in the year 2013 in association with Wadhwani
Foundation's National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN). In the same year, , the 1 st breakthrough of
the Entrepreneurship activities came by the way of providing Incubation to Ranosys Technologies
Pvt. Ltd., Singapore. Total. Following this many more joined the league like Positron Technologies,
Escape Byte Technologies, Xyloid Technologies, etc. These companies graduated in a period of
about 15-24 months from the Incubation Centre and hold a very strong market value till date.
Our day-to-day efforts were recognized by Wadhwani Foundation & we were declared as
Wadhwani Foundation-NEN's 1st Centre of Excellence in the northern India during Feb’ 2015 to
promote entrepreneurship and innovations among students of several dozen management and
engineering schools located in various parts of Rajasthan.
The Excellence centre on regularly basis organizes Boot Camps, Mentoring sessions, E-talks, summit, awareness events, workshop and certification courses with the help of various agencies such as State Bank of India, Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of Rajasthan, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) etc.
BET from its very Inception is keen to nurture Ideas and Innovations into a successful Startups. To promote the student start-ups, the Trust has been providing Fellowship of upto Rs. 25,000 p.m. to various student startups.
VGU, BET's sponsored private University, has a very strong global and national level startup network and outreach, highly experienced team, dedicated courses on entrepreneurship and a unique industry integration model.
In January 2018, DST - Govt. of Rajasthan has sanctioned a fund of Rs. 30 lacs to Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur for establishing Rural Technology Business Incubator. A separate trust has been formed by the name of VGU - Technology Business Incubation Trust.
The Incubator has its own well designed structure, with laid down policies and procedures for admission, graduation, funding and mentorship of the incubate.
VGU has established a strong Mentor Network for startups. With over 50+ mentors on the board, this is one of the strongest networks in the State. Most of the mentors are established entrepreneurs and experienced professionals who come regularly to the University and guide the startups. There is an extensive list of mentors from top rated institutions as part of the mentor Panel which includes variety of experts, VCs, startup mentors, crowd funding experts, finance experts, technology experts, business consultants, startup veterans, social entrepreneurs and more.
Mr. Amit Singh is the founder of Wow Labz a technology startup accelerator and Director of
Headstart Network Foundation. Meanwhile, he has founded 10 companies, invested in over 15
startups and advised or mentored over 100 entrepreneurs.
Prof. Onkar Bagaria is a financial expert, having banking experience of project appraisal. He is running his own startup as well. He is closely engaged with the administrative part of the institutions, helping in mobilizing all the resources for the TBI
Prof. (Dr.) Latika Dhuria is engaged in entrepreneurial teaching and mentoring. She is a recipient of Entrepreneurs educator award twice and is a trained trainer by PM YUVA YOJANA and NEN.
Mr. Paresh Gupta is a 3 times TEDx Speaker, Guest Columnist at The Indian Economist (Qrious), Startup Mentor and Advisor at Startup-O Singapore, Viridian E-spark VC fund, CIIE SRCC, IITs, IIMs, NMIMS, Enactus KMC and many other institutions, Founder of Neos Angels, CEO Global Centre for Entrepreneurship & Commerce (GCEC) and Core team member for Headstart Network Foundation.
