N.C.C. is a dynamic organization of young boys and girls all over the India. It plays an important role in inculcating values of character, patriotism, unity and selfless services amongst the youth. It helps in shaping the youth into discipline responsible citizen of India. NCC provides a platform for self development and helps to chanalise their energy and potential towards nation building. EDC started Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development that provides a platform to start-ups prospective entrepreneurs to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable products through high-impact entrepreneurship education; access to mentors and experts; fast-track access to incubation and funding. Currently, the Centre has 3 incubate companies out of 7 student start-ups. Decoller has been awarded "Championship Award" for the last 5 consecutive years at the NEN E-Week
VGI Toastmasters club is chartered under the auspices of Toastmasters International, California, USA. Here the members of the club learn and practice skills of effective and formal communication, presentation and competent leadership through the manuals and programs designed by Toastmasters International. VGI Toastmasters has grown from strength to strength since its inception in 2011.The student members of the club have bought laurels to the campus, the club and to themselves by winning and showcasing their skill set at various platforms. Ten members of the Club have been acknowledged by the Toastmasters International as 'Competent Communicators and Leaders'. The Club initiated and founded the INFOSYS Toastmasters Club of Jaipur in November 2012. It also became distinguished as the home club of Area Governor for the session 2012-13. The club successfully hosted the Division J Humorous and Evaluation Speech Contest-2012. Moreover, Toastmaster Anubhav Kulshrestha emerged as the winner of Evaluation Speech.Toastmaster Karan Singh bagged the runner up prize in the Humorous Speech Contest. Toastmaster Sudha Rathore and Toasmaster Swaraj Bhatt flaunted their Communication skills and confidence at Jindal Steel Works, Barmer, where they as mentors to the club. Toastmaster Isha Saxena and Toastmaster Keerti Nair, assisted in the Demonstration meeting conducted at Techno NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur. The members also interacted and organized a joint toastmasters session along with Toastmasters Club of IIM's, Udaipur.
The VSSA club organizes Blood Donation Camps on October 01, every year in the college with the State Center of Red Cross Society of India and motivates young people to donate their blood for the cause of humanity. More than 400 students and faculty members donated blood during the last Camp organised on 1st Oct 2014. Students also visit old age homes, homes for mentally retarded, organize awareness campaigns in villages. A wing of VSSA is Eco- Friends Club.
The Eco-friends club has been established to instil awareness about the environment. Members of the club strive to promote eco-friendly habits not only in the college but also among the masses. The members of the club regularly organise tree plantation actiVGUies in and around the Campus and also in residential colonies of Jaipur city.
The club arranges for German and French language classes for students in order to enhance their performance and increase their employability.
World's largest technical society bringing access to industry's most essential technical information, networking, career development tools and many other benefits. Members have access to about one million IEEE documents, magazines. More than 100 students and faculty are registered members of IEEE. The VGI IEEE Student Branch Chapter organized 10 Conferences/ Seminars/ Workshops/ Exhibitions since its inception. VGI IEEE is associated with various technical societies viz. MTTS (Microwave Theory and Technique Society), RAS (IEEE Robotics and Automation Society) and ITS (IEEE Information Theory Society).
Institutional Membership of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), New Delhi has been obtained and ISTE Chapter for faculty and ISTE Chapter for students has been set up at the VGU Campus. The main aim of ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional Engineers and technocrats needed for the Industry by undertaking a variety of actiVGUies, like training programmes, providing learning materials, seminars, workshops and industry interaction.
Robotics club started with an objective to inculcate basic knowledge of robotics among the students and enable them to undertake project work as a part of learning process and to organize competitions to develop competencies among students. The aim of the club is achieved by imparting basic knowledge through experts' lectures, undertaking group-wise time targeted project work, organizing competition of the functional models within groups and awards prizes for the best models. Students have won laurels at several Robotics competitions at State and National level including at IIT Delhi. The club inculcates basic knowledge of robotics, undertakes project work and organize competitions. The students are given knowledge related to wire controlled robots, wireless robots and intelligent robots. Workshop on robotics is organized on regular basis to enhance knowledge of the students. The teams of VGI students participated in events at IIT-J, LNMIT, IIT Kanpur and various other National Institutes. Our teams also won I prize at IIT - Rajasthan; II prize at LNMIT; III prize at IIT-Delhi, III prize at MNIT.
